Susan has been performing her poetry for well over a decade. She has often been heard on Radio Wales and has also enjoyed a slot on TV, on the BBC Wales arts show, The Gert Escape.

She has taken part in many Poetry Slams throughout the UK, both as an individual competitor and as a member of the Cardiff Slam Team, including the City of Culture Intercity Slam in Bristol.

While in Australia, Susan worked with the writing and performance group Stagefright and devised two performance pieces featuring her poetry – Red Velvet and Baggage Claim.
