More than a hundred of Susan’s poems have been published in print and online journals and anthologies in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia.
Her anthology publications include a five-poem sequence in Poems of Love and Longing (Pont Books) (Ten of Wales's foremost poets offer new insights into the most intense and intoxicating of all emotions); a four-poem sequence in Welsh and Proud of It! (Pont Books), an anthology exploring twenty-first century Welsh identity; and poems in two Cinnamon Press publications, The Lie of the Land and Only Connect.

Susan has been a prizewinner in a number of poetry competitions including the 2008 Frogmore Poetry Prize ('Who’s Afraid?' is a funny, fresh cartoon of a poem – adjudicator Clare Pollard) and has also received a Pushcart Prize nomination.
