Have much to write about from this week – it’s been another busy one! Hope to add some posts over the next few days. For now, though, just a quickie before I head out to run today’s workshop.

Another of my small poems appeared yesterday at A Handful of Stones. Again, it’s an island poem, this time inspired by a visit to Flowerpot Island on Lake Huron in Canada over a decade ago. I was hiking some of the Bruce Trail and took a boat over to the island when I reached the settlement of Tobermory. The sight of numerous garter snake skins, shed and abandoned on the pebble beaches, has stayed with me ever since.
