Had another lovely audio surprise yesterday – an email from my namesake, the jazz vocalist and trumpeter Sue Richardson, with whom I’ve recently been collaborating, writing lyrics for a few of the songs on her soon-to-be-released new CD, Fanfare.

Sue emailed to let me know that one of our songs, Walk on Gravel, was featured on Jazz FM last weekend, on Helen Mayhew’s Yamaha Sunday Jazz Jam. The show is still available to listen to – but only until tomorrow lunchtime – and the playlist for the show can be found here.

More to follow about Fanfare – I’m much looking forward to the launch at Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho in about a month’s time…

  1. Thank you, Caroline! Thank you, Sue! It's been a lovely project to be involved in – and it's ongoing, which is great 🙂

Thank you for wanting to come to the launch, Sue. I'm sure our paths will cross in London one day – hopefully this year some time.

  2. This is such an exciting project!!!!! I just checked to see if I could go to the launch, but no! I'm flying back from a trip to the States that day. Ugh! Please keep us posted. I want to get a copy. What fun this must have been for you! (Do you think I used enough !'s in this comment?)
