Susan's first collection of poetry, 'Creatures of the Intertidal Zone', was inspired by her journey through Iceland, Greenland and Newfoundland in the footsteps of an intrepid eleventh century female Viking.

Over a hundred of Susan’s poems have been published in print and online anthologies and journals in the UK, USA, Canada, South Africa and Australia.

Performed in the UK, Finland and Canada, 'Two Of Me Now' is a poetic drama about biological and literary motherhood, as reflected in the lives and work of Virginia Woolf and Sylvia Plath.
